The Skandals er et 7-mands autentisk ska band fra København.
Bandet har fået succes meget tidligt i deres karriere, og er måske et af de yngste bands i Europa med så stor live-rutine.
The Skandals skriver og spiller al deres musik selv.
De har spillet på store steder som:
Huset, Loppen, Ungdomshuset og VoxHall etc.
De har spillet sammen med store navne som The Slackers (us), USCB All-stars (se), Skalar, Magtens Korridorer og det populære danske reggaeband Bli' Glad.
The Skandals prøver at ramme den autentiske lyd fra tressernes Jamaica, og deres største indflydelseskilder er nok Toots & the Maytals og The Skatalites.
Når The Skandals spiller drømmer man sig tilbage til en svedig sal med et dansende publikum, i Kingston anno 62'.

The Skandals is a 7-piece Ska Authentic band from Copenhagen. The band has gained success very early in their career, and may be one of the youngest bands in Europe with that great routine. The Skandals write and play all their music themselves, and they have been playing at big venues such as: Huset, Loppen, Ungdomshuset (R.I.P.) and VoxHall etc., and they have been sharing stage with big names as The Slackers, USCB All-stars, Skalar, Magtens Korridorer and Danish reggae stars BliGlad. The style is the authentic ska, as it was played in Kingston in the 60’s, influenced by artists such as Skatalites and Toots & the Maytals. The Skandals wishes the crowd to dream themselves away to a big sweaty dancehall in the 60’ Kingston when they play their show.
